This is NOT an official PNS calendar. It is the calendar that I wish they kept. It has all PNS event info and works with Calendar apps. (outlook, apple, google, etc). Subscription links below.

Teams try to keep schedules consistent so swimmers can plan activities around practices, far into the future. Yet, big changes are inevitable, especially around these times:
Beginning of September – Start of the School Year and our largest 'Move Up' always means a new Schedule for all groups
New Year - Schedule change for a few swimmers that 'Move Up' on January 1.
Mid February – Possible Schedule 'shuffle' at the end of High School Swim Season.
Early April - Schedule change for a few swimmers that 'Move Up' after Short Course Season.
Mid-May – Possible Schedule shuffle when Colman Pool opens and Strattonwood closes (Summer League).
End of June – Possible Schedule shuffle for the end of the School Year
In general, it is best to take vacations just after championship meets and before move-ups. Taking a break before a meet or after a move-up is a great way to miss out on group momentum. From best to worst times to take a vacation:
Summer: Mid - Late August - After PNS Long Course Champs in early August, and after our biggest yearly move-up. Select groups take three weeks off about this time every year.
Winter Holidays: Late December -Early Jan- Sport teams take a few extra days off around the winter holidays and it's a great time to go somewhere warm and chase dolphins.
Spring Break - April ish , but try not to miss meets!
There are no other great times - frequent interruptions in training can leave a swimmer far behind the rest of the group in both skill level and fitness. Swimming is far more skill-sensitive than most sports, and we have a skill base that we build on throughout a season. If a swimmer misses many practices through the season, they can't just 'get the notes from a friend'. Muscle memory takes longer to Swimming skills are something you have to feel and try, not just know.
The worst time is the month prior to a major championship meet (late Feb/March, late June/early July, or Nov/ early Dec). Few athletes in any sport excel if they take vacations before championship games/meets/tournaments.
